NATIONAL DOG DAY · AUG 22–26, 2026

Celebrate National Dog Day With Puppies on the Mat

A nationwide weekend of puppy yoga — every class supports local rescues and helps adoptable dogs find homes.

One day a year, the whole country celebrates dogs. We celebrate with rescues.

This August 26 is National Dog Day — and Kitten Paws and Downward Dogs is marking it the only way we know how: rooms full of adoptable rescue puppies, yoga mats, and people falling in love. From Saturday, Aug 22 through National Dog Day itself, we’re hosting puppy yoga classes in cities across the country, each one a fundraiser and adoption event for a local rescue.

Roll out a mat. Flow through a gentle, all-levels practice. Let a puppy climb into your lap. Every ticket supports the rescue bringing the dogs — and every wag helps one more find a forever home.
